get out of my house

a solo art show and fundraiser | october 20, 2023

I’m excited to invite you to my first solo art show and fundraiser hosted in my quiet basement home located in downtown Toronto!

This series of paintings document the worries, fears, and small victories I had as a victim and survivor of domestic violence and stalking. As heavy as this topic may be, please join me for a fantastic night of art, celebration, fun, food, vibrancy, and personal optimism for the days ahead!

All proceeds from this event will be donated to my two favourite dog rescues: Fetch & Releash and Praline’s Backyard Foundation!

Event details

Date: Friday October 20th, 2023

Time: 7:00 - 11:00 PM EST

Location: The artist’s home in downtown Toronto. Accessible via TTC subway and bus. Please email me for more information!

ALL DOGS WELCOME.

Please note: This is a sober event. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available at the door. Please email me with any accessibility concerns! I would love to accommodate you and make your visit as enjoyable as possible!

What to expect

  • Art auction. This is your chance to take home “the judge,” an original oil painting from the show! This painting is a fantastical reimagining of what the justice system would look like if I could redesigned it.

  • Art and crafts for sale. We’ll be selling oil paintings, prints, postcards, and crafts so you can take home a part of the show.

  • Free food and drinks. No art show could be compete without an array of delicacies. Vegan, gluten-free, peanut-free options galore! And we’ll be serving lots of non-alcoholic beverage too.

  • Free doggy bags for doggy patrons! Bring your furry friend along for some free tasty treats and dog toys (while supplies last!).

About the charities

Fetch & Releash is a volunteer-run dog rescue based out of the Greater Toronto Area. With the support of volunteers, foster dogs enjoy quality care, love, and attention in foster homes while awaiting adoption by their forever families.

Praline’s Backyard Foundation is based out of the United States and supports survivors of domestic violence thanks to a network of volunteer fosters who provide temporary and free care for survivors’ pets while they seek safe housing!
